Dr.  Aifric Boylan

Dr Aifric Boylan is an Australian General Practitioner and a founder of Qoctor, with a strong interest in delivering accessible, high-quality medical care through telehealth.

With experience across general practice, telehealth, and digital health service design, Aifric is focused on developing and delivering online healthcare systems that are clinically sound, patient-centred, and aligned with Australian professional standards.

Aifric and her co-founders established Qoctor in 2017 with the goal of making it easier for Australians to access trusted medical care when and where they need it. Since then, Qoctor has supported hundreds of thousands of video consultations nationwide, forming the foundation for dedicated services such as Doctors for Weight Loss and Health for Work.

Dr. Aifric Boylan

Alongside her leadership and service development work, Aifric also remains clinically active as a GP on a part-time basis. This ongoing patient contact helps keep her closely connected to the realities of everyday general practice and responsive to the needs of both patients and clinicians.

Her clinical interests include preventive health, weight management, mental health, and supporting patients to balance health needs alongside work, study, and family life. She takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to care, recognising that lifestyle factors such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mental wellbeing often intersect around key health concerns. This integrated perspective is particularly important in areas such as weight management, where sustainable progress depends on understanding the whole person, not just a single metric.

Through her work with Qoctor and its partner services, Aifric continues to focus on building evidence-based, doctor-led digital health services that retain a strong human element — recognising that empathy, listening, and trust remain central to good medicine, whether care is delivered in person or online.
